Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence is the expanded re-release of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Featuring a new 3rd person camera which would carry over into all following titles (MPO, MPO+ MGS4), Subsistence marked the turning point in the series. This was made all the more clear by the inclusion of "Metal Gear Online", enabling players to compete against other players in online deathmatches, capture missions, etc. Other additional content included the Duel Mode and Demo Theaters and international facepaints seen in the PAL release of Snake Eater that never made it into the Japanese or American releases. Also included were ports of the original MSX titles, Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, never before released in english, aswell as a secret theater (featuring self-parodies) and a 3 and a half hour Snake Eater Movie. The movie disc was standard on PAL releases of Subsistence, but came as part of a limited edition package in North America.
