Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes was a remake of the original Metal Gear Solid, released for Nintendo Gamecube. The game used the Metal Gear Solid 2 engine and featured improved game play elements such as first-person shooting, hanging from ledges and hiding in lockers. Due to the nature of select cut scenes in the game where Snake would perform almost "Matrix" like stunts, many fans meet The Twin Snakes with a negative opinion. There also seemed to be a more vibrant colour palette and a lot of the original's gritty, dirty feeling was lost in transition.
