This demo was released with Official PlayStation Magazine after the announcement of Metal Gear Solid 3. According to the disc, MGS2 was included to "whet your appetite for version three." The demo was the final build of MGS2 and started at the beginning of the tanker chapter, lasting until opening the door to deck 2. Unlike the demo included with Zone of the Enders, this MGS2 demo featured English voice acting.
