This demo was released with Official PlayStation Magazine on a special "Greatest Hits" demo disc focusing on sports games. According to the disc, MGS2 was included to give players a break from the variety of sports demos provided. The demo was the final build of MGS2. The demo started at the beginning of the tanker chapter and lasted until opening the door to deck 2. Unlike the demo included with Zone of the Enders, this MGS2 demo featured English voice acting.
