LittleBIGPlanet is so much more than a simple platform game. It is a powerful tool with which players can release their creative side and build pretty much anything they can think of and share it with the world. In late December 2008, two Metal Gear Solid packs were released as downloadable content for the title. The costume pack enabled players to dress their sackpeople up as Old Snake, Meryl Silverburgh, Raiden, and Scremaning Mantis from Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. The Level kit enabled players to play officially made Metal Gear Solid themed levels in which they must stop Liquid Ocelot from becoming the most hearted creator in all of LittleBIGPlanet by destroying his identical level spamming machine, but not before facing off against Metal Gear REX! The level kit also provided players with a number of Metal Gear themed items with which they could build their own levels.
